Orlando Golf Homes
Florida is known as the golf capital of the world and Orlando itself is home to
the Golf Channel, the annual PGA Merchandise Show, many top golfing schools and
only a short drive from PGA headquarters and World Golf Village. It's no surprise
that Orlando golf homes and communities are abundant with prices to accommodate
a wide range of life styles. It's possible to find Orlando golf homes for
around $100,000; you can also pay several millions dollars for Orlando golf
homes in a community like Ilseworth Country Club or Keene's Point.
In Orlando, the Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club, known for its 4-star Championship
Golf Course, offers moderately priced, smaller Orlando golf homes. Villas
priced between $110,000 and $170,000 offer 845 to 1,153 square feet of space.
In the golfing communities of North Shore and Eagle Creek, single-family homes
range in price from $185,000 to $225,000.
In the surrounding suburbs of Apopka, Longwood, Windermere, and Winter Garden
Orlando golf homes and communities are some of the finest.
Rock Springs Ridge, in Apopka, offers a golf course community in a country setting
where you'll find homesites covered with trees. Home prices range from $200,000
to $340,000 for 2,454 to 3,749 square feet. Alaqua Lakes, in Longwood, is a gated
community with lakes, lush trees and a Tom Fazio-designed course. Orlando golf
homes in this community start around $550,000 and go upwards to $3,000,000.
Winter Garden, the new community of Stoneybrook West, offers affordable villas,
a variety of single-family homes, and luxury golf living. Homes here start as
low as $160,000; the larger estates in Winter Garden can go up to $750,000.
Windermere, a town southwest of Orlando, is the premier place for Orlando golf
homes. Isleworth Country Club was rated the #1 Golf Community by Robb Report
in 1999. This country club setting offers an Arnold Palmer-designed course surrounded
by estate homes. This is a tight-security community with a number of high-profile
residents. Orlando golf homes at Isleworth Country Club start around $750,000
and can go upwards to several million. Newer construction in Windermere can be
found at Keene's Point. Located along the shores of Butler Chain of Lakes, this
gated-community offers an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course. Homes offered range
from golf cottages, custom homes and estate properties with price tags from $275,000
to $2.5 million or more.
The community of Reunion combines small-town values with high-class recreation.
It offers 3 golf courses designed by the greats - Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and
Arnold Palmer. Among the non-golf amenities are a fitness center, an equestrian
center, a swimming pavilion, hiking trails and cultural events. Homesites range
from $70,000 to $150,000. Homes are priced from $260,000 to $400,000.
